The Aussie underwear brand breaking the rules: Why Being Wear is the game-changing label you need to know about

The new era of underwear has arrived.

For decades, underwear shopping has been stuck in the same old binary of “men’s” and “women’s” sections.

But a new Australian brand is proving that the most essential layer doesn't have to come with outdated labels.

Being Wear, launched in July 2025, is the first Australian underwear company designed to be completely gender-free.

There’s a new Aussie intimates label on the block, and they’re making waves in the inclusivity department. Being Wear is Australia’s first ever underwear brand to create garments with the mission of being gender-free and sensory friendly.

“I saw my daughter struggling to find underwear she could wear comfortably as someone with sensory issues,” Andrew Whittle, founder and CEO of Being Wear said in a statement.

Why We Created Being

Too many people can’t find underwear that truly fits — their body, their identity, or their values.

So we created Being: gender-free, sustainable underwear made for every body.

No men’s or women’s sections. Just soft, breathable modal, designed with real humans in mind — with or without a pouch.

Because being yourself should always feel this good.
