our story

Through our own experiences, and those of our family and friends, it became clear that too many of us are wearing underwear that’s simply not for us.

  • We stick to the same brand, style and size out of habit
  • We hold onto underwear long past their prime - you know who you are.
  • We make do with underwear that’s not made for our bodies, nor our personalities.
  • We’ve been buying from brands that don’t really reflect or respects us.

we don't fit labels

We saw the gap, the space between the ‘men’s’ aisle and the ‘women’s’ aisle, and we asked, why? Why should underwear be labelled for one body type or another?

we fit bodies

So we created Being Wear, a gender-free underwear brand, where we design to fit bodies, not labels, using sustainable, soft and breathable fabrics, with options to suit all human beings.

"We started Being Wear because we saw it firsthand my daughter and friends’ kids boxed in by labels. We heard stories from other parents, and watched friends from all identities and walks of life struggle to find underwear that is simple, comfortable and gender-free. It didn’t feel fair. So we set out to change it, to create an inclusive space where everybody feels seen, heard, supported, and free to just be them.  I know you’ll love being in Being."

Huge thanks to Kochie’s Business Builders for visiting us and sharing such valuable insights. We’re incredibly grateful for the advice and support as we continue to push our business to the next level…to the world. Exciting times ahead!

What started as one dad’s search for sensory-friendly underwear for his daughter has grown into an inclusive brand designed for every body. Being Wear is about more than underwear, it’s about freedom, comfort, and feeling good in your own skin.
