we made it into woman's day new zealand
We don't take press lightly — so when woman's day new zealand reached out to cover being wear, it genuinely meant a lot.
The piece, published on nowtolove.co.nz on 5 june 2026, is titled "made for every body and gender, is this the closest thing to perfect underwear?" and honestly, that's the question we set out to answer when we started this brand.
Writer Hemma Vara dug into what being wear is actually about, why it exists, how it's made, and who it's for. she covered the sensory-friendly fabric (95% modal, 5% elastane), the flat seams, the tagless construction, the sizing that runs from 5xs all the way to 5xl and the fact that there are no gender rules here. briefs, boxers, g-strings, bralettes, and binders. pouch or no pouch. firm or light compression. wear what feels right.
She also shared the story behind the brand and that being wear started because a daughter deserved basics that fit comfortably and didn't come with a binary label attached. that's still why we do this.
It's been a big few months for our New Zealand community. We started shipping to New Zealand in March 2026, and the response has been something we're genuinely grateful for. Seeing that warmth reflected back through coverage like this reminds us why inclusive design isn't a niche, it's just good design.
If you're in New Zealand and haven't found us yet, the full article is worth a read. and if you're ready to try being wear, you know where to find us.
Thank you to the team at Woman's Day New Zealand for getting it.
